Case in point: the juice diet. However, we are inevitably drawn to the extreme solutions like the HCG diet, and now, one we would consider extreme called The New Lifestyle Diet.
What is The New Lifestyle Diet?
The New Lifestyle Diet is a style of dieting that has come and gone. Liquid dieting, especially protein based liquid dieting, has become popular, because it meets certain nutritional needs and requirements, and it passes through the body in such a way that it is considerably easier to avoid stored body fat and stored calories.
In fact, some have gone to the extremes of wiring their jaw shut and blending everything in order to avoid just this kind of problem. Obviously, compared to the doctors’ fees, this can be considerably cheaper or at least comparable, and it’s considerably easier to use this plan than going into the doctor.
How Sustainable Are the Results?
When most get their jaws wired shut, as long as they follow a diet specified by their doctor (no milkshakes, etc.), they lose weight. This makes it that much easier to stick to the right diet, it’s all made up for you. However, the after effects remain the same.
The body changes after using this kind of diet. It doesn’t process solid foods in the same way, and yes, The New Lifestyle Diet does try to balance this out with one solid meal per day. However, it may not be enough. Initially, this leads to weight gain immediately following the change back to a normal diet. It does even out eventually, but the timeline for that depends on the person.

The New Lifestyle Diet uses an old tactic that can promise fast results, because it does work that way. However, we find that if you do it right afterwards, you can avoid too much weight gain, and you can get back on the track to losing more weight. This is a fast solution, but not necessarily a long term one.
