FirmSlim is an anti-cellulite mousse that is manufactured by Transformulas and promises to be able to “slim and contour the body.”
Even though the idea of a cream that could end the seemingly never ending battle with cellulite, we thought we should do some research before we got ourselves too worked up about it.
What It Does
FirmSlim claims to help you with many things associated with cellulite like firming and smoothing the skin, and helping you burn fat.
It also promises to do some things that people wouldn’t immediately associate with an anti-cellulite cream, like eliminating toxins.
Does It Work?
The first thing we like to do with a new product is to take inventory of their ingredients list and see which ones have been proven to work and which ones are just duds.
Unfortunately, FirmSlim doesn’t publish their ingredient list, which leaves us to just make inferences based on the little information they do give. For example, because FirmSlim describes itself as a diuretic and as a “thermogenically active” formula, we can assume that the main ingredient is caffeine.
Most caffeine anti-cellulite creams work by dehydrating the skin cells so that they are pulled tighter and create a firmer shield against cellulite. No cream can ever get rid of cellulite, even if it was capable of helping you lose fat, at best they can just reduce the appearance of it. This is because the appearance of cellulite is caused by thin skin.
For this reason, not even the skinniest people are exempt from cellulite, and women, who have thinner skin, are more prone to cellulite than thick-skinned men.
Despite the fact that caffeine-based anti-cellulite creams might be able to reduce the appearance of cellulite temporarily, your body will soon rectify this dehydration and your skin will go back to its original appearance.
Would We Buy It?
Even if we were able to look past the fact that FirmSlim can only tease you by smoothing your cellulite for a short moment, we still wouldn’t buy FirmSlim because it is a discontinued product.
Products are usually discontinued because they stop making money because people stop getting duped into buying them. We don’t recommend buying any product that isn’t even produced any more.
